Now that Henry Cavill is cast as our super hunky Superman in Superman: The Man of Steel, we need to find him a leading lady. The big question: who should play Lois Lane?
The iconic love interest needs to be someone who can exude confidence, respect, and sex appeal.
So which actress can measure up? There have been a couple of names floating around, including Mila Kunis, Rachel McAdams, Jessica Biel, Dianna Agron, Malin Ackerman, and Kristen Stewart.
Rumors are Stewart is already out of the running. Apparently Stewart is not ready for another huge movie after dealing with the explosion of Twilight.
Although her rep says she was never approached about the part in the first place.
So, that leaves us with the other six ladies.
Let's examine each of the lovely contenders.
Mila Kunis: Fresh off the success of Black Swan, Kunis has definitely proven she's got the acting chops. She's had a slow rise in Hollywood after appearing in That 70's Show for years. Her luck looks like its starting to change, she successfully appeared in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and now has received critical acclaim for her Black Swan role. She's our favorite choice!
Malin Ackerman: She's got a bit of a leg-up with director Zack Snyder. The actress appeared as The Silk Spectre in Snyder's highly successful Watchmen. Ackerman has also appeared in a few romantic comedies, including 27 Dresses and The Proposal. She's not exactly a Hollywood staple yet, but this role could propel her to new heights. Not our first choice!
Rachel McAdams: We love our Canadian sweetheart, who has proved she's an in-demand actress, grabbing many great roles in Hollywood blockbusters. She's starred a a variety of very different roles, including the action/adventure Sherlock Holmes, crime thriller State of Play, and the comedy Morning Glory. She could bring some great depth to the role. We think she'd be a good choice.
Dianna Agron: The Glee newcomer hasn't made a huge splash in Hollywood since landing a coveted spot on the hit show. She could be due for a huge break on the big screen. She's set to appear in I am Number Four. Maybe if she does a good job in that one, she could have a chance of landing the part. Not sure if we can really see her in this role.
Jessica Biel: Biel has charm and has been in a few good films in the last couple of years. She's never really been the shining power in any films she's appeared in, nor the star. It seems like Biel is fated to play the supporting role. Although this might be the role of a lifetime for her and give her a chance to prove her star quality. We wouldn't hate this choice.
We've also heard the names Kristen Bell and Keira Knightly thrown around a bit. We could see either of those two actresses in the part as well.
