Agatha Christie's Miss Marple to Return to the Big Screen

by at . Comments

Miss Marple is one cool old lady!  The elderly heroine over many Agatha Christie novels is set to hit the big screen again, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This time in a slightly different way -- apparently Jennifer Garner is attached to produce and star in the film, which, if she is the main heroine, would make Miss Marple slightly younger.

The twelve original Miss Marple were released in the '30s and '40s, with the first one appearing in 1930.

Dinsey is also attached to the new adaptation, but will likely modernize the story instead of setting it in the period depicted in the novels.

Miss Marple has already enjoyed a lot of success on TV, film, and radio.

Jennifer Garner is more than just a very, very pretty face and the wife of Ben Affleck. The former star of Alias can really act, too. A few fun facts about the star include:

  • Met ex-husband Scott Foley on the set of Felicity.
  • Graduated from George Washington High School in Charleston, WV.
  • Was going to go to Yale to study drama, but got an acting gig in New York City instead.
  • Named one of People Magazine's "Breakthrough Stars of 2001."
