Drew Barrymore is hitting the director's chair again, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In her second time around, Berrymore will direct the romantic comedy How to be Single for New Line/Warner Bros.
She first tried her hand at directing in 2009 with the film Whip it, starring herself and Ellen Page.
How to be Single is based on the 2008 novel by Liz Tuccillo, which folllows Julie Jenson, a single New Yorker who decides to pack it all in and hit the road. She travels from Paris to Brazil to Sydney, Bail, Beijing, Mumbai and Reykjavik to find out if anyone has a better handle on how to be single. In the meantime, she falls in love, gets her heart broken, and learns more than she thought she would.
Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn wrote the screenplay for Barrymore.
No word on if Barrymore will star in the film as well.
