Staney Tucci is the latest actor to join The Hunger Games. The film, based on the bestselling novel by Suzanne Collins, follows the story of Katniss Everdeen and her participation in the Hunger Games.

The film is trying for a PG-13 rating despite the violence in the Hunger Games where children fight to the death in televised entertainment.

Tucci will play Caesar Flickerman, a man who is "utterly familiar to all the citizens of Panem as the host of the Hunger Games. Known for his outrageous appearance and buoyant personality, his upbeat interviews of the 24 tributes – a boy and a girl from each of the country’s 12 districts – are presented on every television in the nation. He is famous for turning any conversation around to the positive and finding humor in even the most dire circumstances."

The growing cast includes Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Liam Hemsworth as Gale, and Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinkett.

The Hunger Games is set for release on March 23, 2012.
