Dreamworks has just released a brand new featurette from its upcoming movie The Help. The featurette offers a powerful look into the making of the feature film based on the Kathryn Stockett novel of the same name.
You get a chance to see exclusive clips, a behind-the-scenes look, interviews with the cast and the new Mary J. Blige song featured in the film. The film stars Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Mary Steenburgen, and Sissy Spacek.
The Help follows the story of Skeeter (Stone), a young white woman in Jackson, Mississippi who just returned with a degree in journalism. She decides to write a story from the point of view of 'The Help' and defies the odds by talking to these woman and telling their story.
It is an powerful subject and a point in history that is often overlooked.
Skeeter (Stone) observes in one very poignant scene: "I was raised by a colored woman. We love them and they love us. But they can't even use the toilets in our house."
