Jason Bateman is in early talks with Universal Pictures to star in The Insane Laws with Vince Vaughn, according to a report at Deadline.
According to the report, Universal picked up the film from Sony Pictures in March. Neal Moritz is still producing an Vaughn has been interested for a while now.
The film will mark the directorial debut of screenwriter Jeremy Garelick, who co-wrote The Break-Up (also starring Vaughn).
The film centers on two best friends who share everything together from college to the time when they both got married. Years later, their kids are away at college and start a relationship -- their parents have no idea. Their friendship is tested when the daughter of Vaughn's character gets pregnant.
Interesting premise. This could be a really hilarious film -- and with these two actors, it's bound to be a huge hit!
