Walt Disney Animated Studios announced today that the CG adventure Reboot Ralph will be titled Wreck-It Ralph and will feature the vocal talents of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch.
The story focuses on an arcade game Bad Guy who is determined to prove he can be a Good Buy. Wreck-It Ralph (Reilly) wants to be loved like his games Good Guy Fix-It Felix, but nobody loves the bad guy.
He goes on a quest to become a hero and does so by sneaking into another game featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (Lynch). He ends up wrecking everything and causes more trouble for himself. Can he fix it before it's "Game Over?"
“I love the idea of a very simple 8-bit video game character struggling with the complex question: ‘isn't there more to life than the role I've been assigned?’ In his quest for the answer, we journey with our hero through three visually distinct video game worlds," says director Rich Moore. "It's unlike anything anyone's seen before, and I'm thrilled to be to creating it here at Walt Disney Animation Studios.”
Wreck-It Ralph is set to hit theaters on November 2, 2012.
