Two movies starring big A-listers hit theater this weekend.  The highly anticipated - and much talked-about - The Green Lantern finally hits theaters - read our review.  It feels like we've been talking about this one for a long time.

The Jim Carrey lead, Mr. Poppers Penguins also hits theaters in wide release today and is based on the beloved children's book of the same name.

Also, in limited release is the Fox Searchlight coming-of-age drama, The Art of Getting By.  Check out our review of The Art of Getting By, starring an all-grown-up Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts.

The Green Lantern: A human, Hal Jordan, is given a ring that turns him into a superhero known as The Green Lantern.  When the evil Parralax threatens Earth, it is up to him to save his world and all who live there.

Mr. Popper's Penguins: The film, adapted from the bestselling children's book, follows the life of Mr. Popper who's life is turned upsidedown after he inherits six penguins.  He even turns his apartment into a winter wonderland for his new arctic friends.

The Art of Getting By:  Freddie Highmore plays brilliant but uninspired senior slacker George. George has spent 12 years in school perfecting the art of doing just enough to maintain. It’s not until he meets pretty and popular Sally (Emma Roberts) that he starts to see there may be more to life than he thought.
