J.J. Felid, Keri Russell, and Bret McKenzie have all joined on to star in the indie romantic drama Austenland, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is based on the novel by Shannon Hale and will, oddly enough, be produced by fellow author Stephenie Meyer (author of The Twilight Saga).
Russell will play the part of Jane and Felid will play a Darcy impersonator who works at the resort.
The film is about a girl, Jane Hayes, who is seemingly normal, but she is obsessed with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Her love is so great that she can't seem to find anyone who can compare and it is interfering with her own love life.
She is then given a trip to an English resort that caters to Austen-crazed women. Will Jane find her own Mr. Darcy while on vacation in England?
James Callis, Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Seymour, and Rupert Vansittart will also appear in the film.
Directed by Jershua Hess (co-writer Napoleon Dynamite), it is set to start filming immediate in the U.K.
