Taylor Lautner Moves Past Jacob: Starring in Gus Van Sant Flick

CommentsAs Taylor Lautner's time as Jacob Black begins to close with the arrival of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, the actor has made clear preparations to separate himself from that iconic role. First, he went action hero in Abduction (don’t miss our interview with Lautner for that pic), and now he has announced that he has signed on to an independent film from Gus Van Sant.
Interesting fact: Robert Pattinson’s choice for director on the Breaking Dawn final films was Van Sant. Guess Pattinson’s adoration for the edgy director wore off on his Twilight co-star as Lautner leapt at the chance to work with Van Sant on his next film.
This is Lautner’s first indie film after the big budget Twilight movies, the star-studded Valentine’s Day and of course, the aforementioned Abduction.
