Ashton Kutcher is set to play Steve Jobs in the independent movie Jobs, according to reports.
The project starring the Two and a Half Men actor is scheduled to start shooting next month.
It may not seem like a natural fit when envisioning the CEO who guided a world-changing tech behemoth from 2001-present, but he bears an uncanny resemblance to the Apple co-founder at a younger age:
The movie, to be directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) from a script by Matt Whiteley, will trace Jobs' rise from Northern California hippie to computer innovator, so Ashton might be able to make that work.
Jobs passed away in October at the age of 56.
Another movie about him is also planned, based on Walter Isaacson's best-selling biography Steve Jobs and is being prepared by Sony Pictures, but this biopic starring Kutcher is looking to be first out of the gate.
