The Grammy winner initially had said she would be taking some time off before heading back into the studio after the phenomenal success of her latest, 21. Then, after the resounding success of that album, she changed her mind… stating she would be recording again very soon. Word has arisen out of the U.K. that she is recording a single that will be released later this year. Skyfall arrives November 9… that’s later this year! And a single with no album scheduled? That sounds like a song for a film. And we know that Bond producers love a female singer to belt out their themes, and who better than Adele?

Let’s go deeper.

Adele was talking to a French radio station, NRJ, and this is what she said about recording new material and when fans can hear it. “I plan on releasing an entirely new song by the end of the year,” she said. “How many other tracks will depend on how fast I wrote the others.”

So, she’s got a song that will be ready at the end of the year. Bond needs a theme… we’re just putting two and two together!
