From John Carter's battles with Martians, to the Navy SEALs in Act of Valor, to a the CIA's biggest traitor in Safe House, there's plenty of action available on Blu-Ray this week. And with Father's Day just around the corner, that means plenty of options for dads with a thirst for adventure.
Act of Valor: This action-adventure film stars real active duty U.S. Navy SEALs, and chronicles a team of SEALs on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent. Directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh dive right into the action in this tribute to America's greatest warriors.
John Carter: Taylor Kitsch stars in this sci-fi action film about a Civil War vet who finds himself on Mars, where he must fight giant aliens in order to save a princess. Blu-Ray DVD extras include deleted scenes, a featurette, and more.
Safe House: Ryan Reynolds plays a low-level CIA agent charged with guarding a fugitive, played by Denzel Washington in Safe House. When the safe house is attacked, however, the two men must work together to survive.
