There's a new trailer for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie! Check it out:
The film stars Charlie Tahan as the voice of Victor, a young boy whose dog has just died. Unable to cope with the passing, Victor uses some methods he picked up in science class to reanimate his dog. But the little experiment has some unexpected consequences.
Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, and Martin Short (Madagascar 3) also star. The film is a stop-motion adaptation of a live-action short Burton produced with Disney in the early eighties. The original film helped to launch Burton's career.
Frankenweenie debuts October 5, and will be another in a long line of darkly-themed Tim Burton stop-motion films, which includes The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. The iconic director is also a producer, however, having just produced the action horror film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
