Mark Duplass has enthralled us on both sides of the camera quite a lot lately. With his brother Jay, the duo have written and directed a twin tower of modern independent film: Cyrus and Jeff, Who Lives at Home.
As an actor, Duplass has been busy. Movie Fanatic recently caught up with him to talk Darling Companion, a film he had the honor of performing in for director Lawrence Kasdan. The go-to indie supreme talent is also currently being seen in Safety Not Guaranteed and now Your Sister’s Sister. We caught up with the Renaissance man recently for an exclusive video interview about his latest film and what it was like to work with the sisters of the title: Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt.
The film was a Duplass idea, as he tells us, and was passed on with selfless panache to a fellow writer-director in Lynn Shelton -- who has produced a piece of work that audiences will treasure when it arrives June 15.
Your Sister’s Sister is one of our Top 10 Grown-Up Films of Summer 2012, and Duplass is merely the tip of the iceberg as to why this film is a must-see.
