The general thesis of this red band clip from Dredd (Dredd-band?) seems to be that humans are just bags of blood.
Actually, the clip, which debuted at Comic-Con, is pretty well done. It shows Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) and rookie Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) busting up a group of guys smoking the drug Slo-Mo, which makes them experience time at a fraction of the normal speed. To convey this, once the Judges burst through the door, the speed of the scene slows down appreciably. Take a look:
Dredd is based on the 2000 AD comic book character, and is not a remake or reboot of the 1995 version starring Sylvester Stallone. It takes place on a post-nuclear Earth where the entire judicial system has been reduced to one position, called a Judge, with the power to be the judge, jury, and executioner.
Rounding out the cast behind Urban and Thirlby is Lena Headey, Jason Cope, and Domhnall Gleeson, who will also appear later this year in Anna Karenina. Pete Travis directs.
Dredd will be released September 21. In the meantime, get a full glimpse of the film with the Dredd trailer.
