For a Good Time, Call: Ari Graynor Talks Phone Sex & Friends

by at . Comments

For a Good Time, Call… star Ari Graynor is having a banner year. She was recently seen in the Rashida Jones-written and starring Celeste and Jesse Forever, is soon to be seen in 10 Years opposite Channing Tatum and is now showcased in the wildly inventive comedy co-written by co-star Lauren Anne Miller and Katie Anne Naylon.

The actress sits down for an exclusive video interview where she admits one of the draws of the film about two roommates who start a phone sex business was its romantic comedy means for exploring the minefields that can be experienced with female friendships. Although the characters work in a salacious business, the story is truly about the relationship between two women.

“That was so smart that Lauren and Katie subverted the romantic comedy and made it about friends,” Graynor said of what is on display in the For a Good Time, Call... clip.

“I loved how sweet it was, I was flabbergasted and wondered why we don’t see more movies about friendship.”
