Julianne Hough has signed on to star in the upcoming film Time and a Half, written by Diablo Cody. Cody, who broke into Hollywood with her 2007 indie comedy Juno, will be making her directorial debut with an untitled project that will also star Hough.
Hough will play a recent college grad who runs into a one-night stand from her past. The only problem? He's also her sister's ex-boyfriend. The writer of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Ol Parker, will direct.
A dancer, singer, and two-time Dancing with the Stars champion, Hough has started to make a name for herself as an actress. She appeared earlier this year in the jukebox musical Rock of Ages. She will also appear in the latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation, Safe Haven.
