Ron Howard is directing a new film about playboy driver James Hunt and his rivalry with Niki Lauda in the 1976 Formula One season. Check out four stills from Rush (click thumbnails to enlarge):
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) plays Hunt in another example of the Hemsworthian takeover of Hollywood (seems like Chris and his brother Liam will star in a combined 800,000 movies in the coming year). Daniel Bruhl will play Lauda, with Olivia Wilde starring as Hunt's wife Suzy Miller.
Rush is written by biopic screenwriter extraordinaire Peter Morgan, who wrote such films as The Queen and Frost/Nixon, and co-wrote the upcoming Bond film Skyfall. Rush is set to premiere September 20, 2013.
