The casting news of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars had fans of Kick-Ass beyond thrilled for the upcoming sequel. The stars of the film have reported to work on the Toronto set and a video has arrived on Carrey as Stars shooting a scene. It’s not the most informative vid, but simply seeing Carrey in his costume, along with Lindy Booth as Night Bitch and Robert Emms as Insect Man, is pure joy for those of us who never thought we’d get a sequel.
The original film arrived in 2010 and was a modest success, but truly caught a fire of popularity when it arrived on home video. In our exclusive Christopher Mintz-Plasse interview for ParaNorman, the star talked about his return to the franchise that also stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Morris Chesnut. "I'm so psyched," he proudly stated. "It's going to be awesome."
It sure looks that way as we can't wait for Kick-Ass 2 to land June 28, 2013.
