Lincoln Promo Teases First Trailer and Google Chat with Steven Spielberg

by at . Comments

A teaser promo has been released for Lincoln in advance of the first full trailer. You don't get a really good look at Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th President (though you can see the resemblance in this Lincoln poster), but have a watch:

The biopic focuses on the end of Lincoln's life, including the abolition of slavery and his assassination. Sally Field will play Mary Todd, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) as their oldest son Robert.

Tommy Lee Jones, David Strathairn (The Bourne Legacy), Hal Holbrook, and James Spader also star. Steven Spielberg directs.

The full Lincoln trailer will premiere September 13, followed by a live Google chat with Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt. The film hits theaters November 9.
