John Cusack Recalls Say Anything with Appearance at Peter Gabriel Concert

by at . Comments

Fans attending the Peter Gabriel concert at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend got a special treat, as John Cusack came out on stage carrying a boombox, and handed it to Gabriel. Check out the video (the incident happens right at the beginning):

The appearance was of course in reference to the classic Say Anything boombox scene, which featured a young Cusack holding a large boombox blasting the Gabriel song In Your Eyes outside of Ione Skye's window.

The appearance prompted a tweet from Say Anything director Cameron Crowe, which in turn brought a plea from Cusack for fans to bug Crowe about the two of them working together again.

Crowe, who directed the Oscar-nominated films Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, last directed 2011's We Bought a Zoo. Would you like to see Cusack's character Lloyd Dober revisited in a new collaboration with Crowe? Let us know in the comments section!
