Deadfall: Charlie Hunnam Leaps From Sons of Anarchy to Silver Screen

by at . Comments

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam graced the most recent cover of Entertainment Weekly and then sat down with Movie Fanatic for an exclusive video interview about making his big screen leap in the thriller Deadfall. The actor has become a household name, thanks to the biker show that is shattering TV ratings, and hopes to make a splash opposite Eric Bana and a few Hollywood legends in the icy thriller.

As we state in our Deadfall review, Hunnam kills it as a boxer who is escaping a troubled past when he comes upon Olivia Wilde. She and brother Bana had just ripped off a Native American casino and became stranded in the woods. Once they separate, it is Wilde who first finds help from the gentle soul that is Hunnam's Jay.

In our interview, Hunnam talks about how the chance to have a legend in Kris Kristofferson portray his onscreen father and Sissy Spacek as his mother was a dream come true. "Getting to work with those two as an actor was spectacular," Hunnam said. "To hear all of Kris' wondrous stories -- that guy has been through so many movements in America and hung with everyone from Steve McQueen to Janis Joplin."

We also get the gruff Hunnam to dish his favorite movies to watch during the holiday season... his answer is very different than the one we got from our Olivia Wilde exclusive interview!
