What does everybody look for in a family Christmas movie? Yes, relentless human suffering. Well, this Christmas audiences are lucky enough to get two movies featuring just that: Django Unchained and Les Miserables.

But which is sadder? Stars Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway argue just that point in this hilarious new video from Funny or Die. Take a look:

Jackson (The Avengers) plays the head house slave, a man with dubious intentions, in Django Unchained, while Anne Hathaway plays Fantine, a poor French woman forced to turn to prostitution to support her daughter. Both absolutely have their cases for which is sadder.
