Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most anticipated films of Marvel Phase 2. With production set to begin shortly, casting is in full swing.
The latest addition is Glenn Close, who signed on today to play a top brass in the intergalactic agency Nova Corp.
Close's character will be the superior of Rhomman Dey, with John C. Reilly in talks to play that role. She joins Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness), Michael Rooker, and Lee Pace in the cast.
The veteran actress has appeared in such films as 101 Dalmations, and Albert Nobbs, as well as the award-winning TV show Damages.
James Gunn will direct the film, which is set to premiere August 1, 2014.
