Superheroes Used to Inspire Children with Cancer in Brazilian Hospital

We here at Movie Fanatic and around the internet spend a lot of time discussing and dissecting Superhero movies as pieces of entertainment, but we rarely take the time to consider how these iconic characters can be used to inspire.

The A.C.Camargo Cancer Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil has teamed up with Warner Bros. to introduce an entirely superhero-themed treatment to their Children's Cancer Ward.

Chemotherapy has been re-termed "Superformula," using real characters from the DC Comics universe like Batman and Wonder Woman to help the kids understand and cope with their treatment.

Additionally, special comic books and animations have been created that show the heroes going through similar experiences that the kids are going through.

It's a truly unique and inspirational rethinking of an incredibly difficult treatment. Watch the video below to learn more about it:
