Marvel fans who cannot wait to see the next chapter of Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god now can get a glimpse of Thor: The Dark World a week early. IMAX has announced that it is featuring the sequel to Thor on October 30, while the theatrical release lands November 8. Given that Thor is so much larger than life, this could not be better news.
After The Avengers banked over $2 billion at the box office and Iron Man 3 leapt into the top 10 grossing movies of all time, the pressure is on for Thor: The Dark World to keep up the hot streak. Judging by the first Thor: The Dark World trailer and the second Thor: The Dark World movie trailer, they are well on their way to fantastical success.
Tom Hiddleston and his Loki are back, but this time out he and his brother Thor have to work together to defeat a common foe. You have us already! Also back is Natalie Portman as Thor’s love interest, and she even gets a trip to Asgard! Anthony Hopkins reprises his role, as does the actress who gave us such great comic fodder in the first film, Kat Dennings.
