Summit Entertainment has released two back-to-back TV spots for their upcoming break-out-of-prison thriller Escape Plan. The Expendables veterans Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger join forces again in an action thriller that presents the challenge of breaking out of the most secure prison in the world.
Given that Stallone’s character is known as the Houdini of breaking out of prisons, it should be great fun to see what he does in this hi-tech fortress that could not be more secure.
The two spots are called Erase and Trap and it’s easy to see why!
The twist in this whole plot is that although Stallone is a wizard of escaping prisons, as we meet him in the film, he is a free man. He voluntarily enters the prison as an “employee” of the owner of the lock-up, supposedly to test his facility’s ability to thwart an escape. What Stallone doesn’t know is that as soon as he is locked up, they erase his identity and hope the world never sees his face again.
We were actually quite compelled by the first Escape Plan trailer, and look forward to the film hitting theaters October 18.
