Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Producer Says Movie Will Be “Very Special”

While at the press day today for Gravity, the film’s producer -- David Heyman -- could not escape a question about the announcement that J.K. Rowling confirms new Harry Potter world movies.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

See, Heyman is an eight-time producer of the Harry Potter movies and although he did not say much, and could not say much, to hear words associated with that magical world continuing was music to our ears. "I can't talk really about it yet. All I can say is that it's great,” Heyman said.

The movie producer then seemed to get a glint of joy in his eye as he talked about Rowling putting pen to paper once more as screenwriter. “Jo had no need to go back to this universe or world. It's not Harry Potter per se, but the world of Harry. She's chosen to do so because she felt a need to tell a story,” he said.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them chronicles the adventures in that Harry Potter world that take place almost 70 years before Harry attends Hogwarts.

Clearly, Heyman is excited. “That she's doing it means that it's going to be very, very special."

Harry Potter Quotes

[to Professor Snape] For in dreams, we enter a world that is entirely our own. Let him swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud.

Dumbledore: Mysterious thing, time. Powerful, and when meddled with, dangerous. Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the dark tower. You know the laws, Miss Granger. You must not be seen, and you would do well, I feel, to return before this last chime. If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight, more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns, should do it, I think.
[He starts to exit, turns back]
Dumbledore: Oh, by the way. When in doubt, I find retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck.
[He exits]
Ron: What the bloody hell was that all about?
