Inside Llewyn Davis has released its next trailer and it has done nothing but increase our anticipation for the latest film from the Coen brothers. The film follows an up-and-coming folk singer, Llewyn Davis, making his way through the legendary Greenwich Village folk music scene of the early 1960s.
The only thing colder than the winter outside for Davis (Oscar Isaac) is the way his luck seems to be going. His career is moving slowly. He is having an affair with his friend's wife and she just announced she is pregnant, and all the while, he still remains determined to make it in a music business that is as unforgiving as a New York blizzard.
As previewed in the first Inside Llewyn Davis trailer, the Coen brothers’ latest also stars Justin Timberlake and Carrey Mulligan as his married fellow musician friends, plus John Goodman (a frequent Coen brothers collaborator… The Big Lebowski, anyone?!).
Inside Llewyn Davis lands in theaters December 6 and is being touted in the vein of O Brother, Where Art Thou? And with Marcus Mumford providing some of the music in a score overseen by T. Bone Burnett, it appears to be a worthy follow-up to that George Clooney-starring instant classic.
