The latest teaser from The Fifth Estate paints quite a picture. It features images of the evolution of the news media, from revolutionaries who printed the truth about their leaders on leaflets through the establishment of newspapers and then the explosion of information that came via the World Wide Web. And thus, the stage is set for the expansion of the Fourth Estate to The Fifth Estate.
Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness) stars as the co-founder of WikiLeaks, and Daniel Bruhl (Rush) stars as his partner. The film chronicles the rise of the website that shook governments to their knees, including the United States.
After a successful premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, The Fifth Estate will hit theaters everywhere October 18.
