Frozen Exclusive: Kristen Bell on Living Her Disney Dream

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Kristen Bell achieved a life goal with her role playing Princess Anna in Frozen, she told us in our exclusive video interview. We met the actress in New York City and she was the picture of pride as Bell revealed that this is no ordinary part for her.

“It’s the first goal I ever set for myself,” Bell said of being a Disney regal. “I think at five years old I had made up my mind that I wanted to do this one day. I’m not sure I ever thought it would actually happen!”

The Frozen trailer teases the story of Bell as Anna, who grows up in a Nordic kingdom as a younger sister who idolizes her older sis, Elsa. When Elsa is set to start her reign, something happens at the coronation. See, Elsa has the power to turn things into ice and snow, and when she loses control of her powers at the event honoring her new role as Queen, things go horribly wrong.

Elsa races out of the kingdom to an icy exile and leaves behind a village that is permanently covered in snow… entrenched in a curse. Anna doesn’t give up on her sister. And in classic Disney princess form, she boldly heads out into the wild to find her and bring her home.

We also asked, given how much they mean and have meant to her, if Bell could choose her favorite Disney princess. “It’s easy for me. I really liked The Little Mermaid. Ariel was my favorite because she was the first who didn’t just want Prince Charming."

Bell also has a little movie that is just slightly hot on the anticipation scale coming soon! Be sure to see what she said exclusively that we can expect from the Veronica Mars movie! Also in our above interview, Bell lets us know that her hubby, Dax Shepard, and her have another movie coming together that will feature the two of them as co-stars after they killed it in Hit and Run.
