After that Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit clip that gave us over four minutes of action from the Chris Pine-starring thriller debuted last week, Paramount has released a new clip featuring Pine and co-star Kevin Costner.

Pine stars as the legendary Tom Clancy character in the first movie to arrive since the iconic author passed away last year. In what seems like an origins story of how Jack Ryan became Jack Ryan, the following clip shows Costner, Ryan’s mentor, handing his charge a weapon and letting him know he’s now “operational.”
