Despite the fact that that recent The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Triptyc poster shows off a trio of villains going after our titular hero, director Marc Webb has always stressed that the main foil for Spider-Man in his sequel will be Jamie Foxx as Electro. That could not be more true in a trio of new international posters that have arrived today for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Andrew Garfield is back as Peter Parker and his heroic alter ego, and yes, Paul Giamatti is Rhino and Dane DeHaan is Harry Osborn, and some form of Green Goblin -- but it is clear that the crux of Spidey’s time in the follow-up to The Amazing Spider-Man will be crushing Electro. Although, if you look closely, DeHaan’s image can be seen in the video screen billboards in the background!

Filmmakers have done an outstanding job getting us ready for the film -- just gaze at that powerful The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer for further proof.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 lands in theaters May 2 and also stars Emma Stone, Chris Cooper and Sally Field.
