Guardians of the Galaxy: Kevin Feige Talks “Happy” Reaction to Trailer
by Joel D Amos at . Updated at . CommentsWhen it comes to introducing the world to a new group of superheroes, Marvel has done it better than anyone. That’s why it should not have been such a surprise that the reaction to the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was so universally positive.
But still, executives over at Marvel Studios, particularly head honcho Kevin Feige, had to be a little nervous when they debuted the spot that teased their August 1 release that stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and the voices of Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot.
Given the display of joy from the world to their new heroes, Feige is clearly the picture of delighted. “I was very pleased with it, because it's still early days for us, as the movie is coalescing and formulating itself in the cutting room. But there are a few things that we would be locked into: the cast, their looks, our use of music and our very unique tone,” Feige said to IGN.
“The fact that that’s what that teaser is about and that’s what people are embracing, there are a lot of happy people in the offices -- that people are into this.”
