After traveling to Rio for the premiere of the animated film, it was uncanny how well filmmakers had captured the feel and, more importantly, the beat of the area. With Rio 2 arriving in theaters soon, we’re thrilled to see that the film has expanded its base and sent its characters deep into the Amazon for a song and dance filled fest that is sure to please.

Fox has released a behind-the-scenes featurette called The Beat Goes On that shows how the musical sensibilities of the Rio world have expanded too.

Stars Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx and George Lopez chime in on the worldly feel of the sequel and even newcomers Bruno Mars and Kristen Chenoweth add their two cents.
