X-Men: Days of Future Past Debuts Featurettes: Inside Magneto's Helmet

Hot on the heels of the final X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer that premiered earlier today, 20th Century Fox has debuted two fascinating featurettes that take us inside two integral scenes in the Bryan Singer movie.

The first video takes a look at the painstaking task that is costuming thousands of extras for a pivotal scene where Jennifer Lawrence is walking through a Paris airport and then she sees James McAvoy's Professor X. It is an important scene in terms of getting all of the mutants together to fight a war before it begins (as Patrick Stewart says in that first X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer).

What's interesting is that the film's costume designer had to outfit thousands of extras in period specific clothes for the 1970s and then fit every single one of them. This is a bustling airport, after all!

The second video shows us a scene that was not in the script. When Magneto is busted out of incarceration, he needs his iconic helmet. Originally Singer was going to show Michael Fassbender's Magneto making his helmet. But, it occurred to him that he would already have the helmet and that it would have been taken from him when he was incarcerated. So... how does he get it out?

To get ready for X-Men: Days of Future Past, might we recommend you go back and see how it all began and watch X-Men online.
