Channing Tatum has long talked about his desire to be one of the mutants of X-Men, specifically Gambit. We think it’s perfect casting and clearly someone involved in that world does too as the superstar has been hired to play Gambit. He will first make an appearance as the hero in X-Men: Apocalypse -- the sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past.
X-Men producer Lauren Shuler admitted to Total Film that the casting had been completed.
"Well you know he's a rogue, Channing. He's a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau, and he can handle the action, we all know that. He's got a really good heart, because I know him personally, I did a movie with him,” Shuler said.
“So I think he'll be great, he'll be great for Gambit, and he's a southerner too, he's not from New Orleans but he is a southerner and he understands that world, and you know Gambit loves New Orleans."
And while we have X-Men on the brain, meet the cast of characters from the film that comes before Tatum’s first appearance, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
