It's all about the mutants with this edition of the weekend movie preview. X-Men: Days of Future Past finally lands on screens as one of the most anticipated movies of 2014 is here!
Not to let those mutants have all the glory, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore reunite for a third time -- after The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates -- in Blended.
X-Men Days of Future Past: The stars of the first X-Men trilogy (Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman) join the X-Men: First Class cast (Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence) in one super-awesome summer movie that could very well finish the summer as the biggest movie of the season.
As we stated in our X-Men: Days of Future Past review, this is a fantastic film on so many levels. The effects are extraordinary, the drama is intense and the acting is beyond brilliant. If you see one summer movie this year, see this one!
Blended: Sandler and Barrymore reunite for a third time, and this time out, it is a romantic comedy, but it's more about the "blending" of two families led by single parents played by the two stars. Sandler and Barrymore have a terrible blind date, then to their surprise wind up in the same suite on a South African vacation.
The two have to find common ground and, in the process, they and their kids find a whole lot to love about each other. As our Blended review reported, this isn't their best work, but families will find pure joy in this flick.
