Fury Trailer: Ideals are Peaceful, History is Violent

by at . Comments

The first true trailer for Fury, starring Brad Pitt, has landed and it is simply spectacular. David Ayer wrote and directed Fury and the writer of Training Day and the writer-director of End of Watch has found a whole new level to impress us.

Pitt plays the leader of a tank squad that began the war fighting Germans in Africa and now only has a handful of guys left to battle the Germans in Germany.

Among his co-horts is Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs and Shia LaBeouf. The story gets a new-to-the-scene feel with the arrival of newbie Logan Lerman.

The trailer above is riveting and takes us further into the drama than that Fury featurette that premiered last week.

Look for Fury to be an Oscar contender when it lands November 14. And why not watch Inglourious Basterds online to see the last time Pitt went into battle in World War II!
