Into the Woods Teaser Trailer: Watch What You Wish For!

Hot on the heels of those Into the Woods photos that premiered yesterday, Walt Disney has released the first Into the Woods teaser trailer and it has us hooked!

Meryl Streep stars as the Witch who puts a curse on a whole slew of our favorite Grimm fairy tale characters in this musical based on the smash Broadway hit. The film is from Rob Marshall, who won an Oscar for Best Picture with another musical, Chicago! 

Among the fairy tales explored in this musical mash-up are Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) with Prince Charming (Chris Pine), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone) and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy). Those iconic tales are tied together in Into the Woods by an original story featuring the baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt).

Into the Woods arrives in theaters December 25 -- just in time for Oscar consideration. If this teaser is any indication, it ought to be up for just a few of those gold statues.
