Fresh from Quentin Tarantino saying The Hateful Eight would definitely be his next picture during his appearance at Comic-Con that Movie Fanatic attended, we’ve got the poster to prove it! Yes, folks, The Hateful Eight poster is here and it is absolutely stunning and pure Tarantino!
Sure, Tarantino said he might do sci-fi later in the conversation in San Diego, but it was clear that he is all about the Western that brings him back to the genre he first explored when you watch Django Unchained online.
Tarantino also promised to shoot the film in “Super CinemaScope” and the poster also confirms that fact. Expect the helmer to be wielding cameras in 70mm and for this Western to look nothing short of exquisite. And given the premise, it should be a stunner on many levels.
The Hateful Eight stars Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walton Goggins, and Zoe Bell and follows what happens when a stagecoach crossing the plains gets caught in a deadly blizzard that sends its “mistrustful” group off its path.
And what a group it is… it includes a pair of bounty hunters, a female prisoner and a renegade Confederate soldier. Yeah, that sounds like the group of people you want to be stuck in a blizzard with!
The poster above also confirms the film’s 2015 release date, so that may be the best news of all – we don’t have to wait too long!
