Considering the audience, premiering a TV spot during the 2014 Teen Choice Awards was perfect for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!
The film, that debuts October 10, is based on the 1972 book by Judith Viorst and stars Steve Carell (most recently seen in Anchorman 2) and Jennifer Garner as the dad and mom of a family whose son, Alexander, is not the only one who will be classifying this day as “horrible.”
The film expands the world from the book to include the family in the “bad day” department, but the focus still is firmly on 11-year-old Alexander.
His day begins with gum stuck in his hair, and it’s all downhill from there! But, this horrible day will bring this family closer together and teach Alexander a lesson that he isn’t alone when it comes to confronting life’s ills -- his family will always have his back.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day also stars Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge, Bella Thorne (Blended), Dylan Minnette, Kerris Dorsey and Ed Oxenbould.
