We headed to the Fox lot last night and were treated to an early look at not only that Exodus: Gods and Kings trailer that premiered this morning, but over 20 minutes of footage from the Ridley Scott biblical epic.

Christian Bale then joined us afterwards to talk about the footage and the making of the movie!

We took away much from the footage we screened, and above all else this is a film with a massive scope that has an uncannily powerful story at its heart.

Bale could not be better cast as Moses, and Joel Edgerton is impeccable as Ramses, his adopted brother and ruler of Egypt who Moses will famously go up against in an effort to set the Jewish people free after four centuries of bondage.

When you watch Gladiator online, you immediately get a sense that Scott can handle enormous scope with the greatest of ease. But after witnessing the 20 minutes of footage from Exodus: Gods and Kings, Scott clearly has his greatest triumph yet.
