American Sniper Teaser Trailer: It's Your Call

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Hot on the heels of those first American Snipers photos, we’ve got the Clint Eastwood film’s riveting first teaser trailer. Bradley Cooper stars as the deadliest U.S. sniper in history, Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.

And in the below teaser, Eastwood basically shows us a scene from the film where Kyle is in Iraq and has to decide whether to take the shot that will kill. What he’s aiming at could result in destruction and death for the U.S., or massive heartbreak that hits all too close to home for Kyle.

It is powerful to say the least.

The American Sniper teaser trailer also shows off Kyle’s life on the homefront, with his wife (Sienna Miller) and newborn child. Eastwood looks as if he has crafted a war story that is full of heart and history-making power.

Look for American Sniper in theaters for a limited run December 25, before opening everywhere on January 16, 2015.

The American Sniper poster has also premiered -- check it out below in our slideshow, along with a few stills from Eastwood and Cooper’s latest.
