Given that Leigh Whannell not only starred in the first two Insidious movies, he co-wrote them and co-created the series with helmer James Wan, it’s fantastic news for fans that he’s been given the director’s chair for Insidious Chapter 3.

We’ve been given a series of behind-the-scenes photos of Whannell and his cast, including Dermot Mulroney and returning franchise fave Lin Shaye, that -- even though it’s a movie set -- are still quite scary!

The plot has also come a bit into focus from Focus Features (get it?!). 

Looks like Elise (Shayne) reluctantly contacts the dead to aid a teenager (Stefanie Scott) who has had her share of troubles with those from the great beyond.

Look for Insidious Chapter 3 in theaters May 29, 2015, and until then, check out how the entire thing got started and watch Insidious online.
