Christopher Meloni met us for an exclusive video interview where the star of White Bird in a Blizzard talked about appearing in the middle of the bookends of brilliance that are Eva Green playing his wife and Shailene Woodley portraying his daughter.
Meloni has done it all, from enormous success on television with Law and Order: Special Victims Unit to the big screen in blockbusters, such as the one you can see when you watch Man of Steel online.
He admitted in our chat that there was something uniquely satisfying about appearing in White Bird in a Blizzard and that was going back to the '70s and '80s -- as teased in the White Bird in a Blizzard trailer. Those costumes are fantastic!
“It’s a lot of fun to go back, especially to places that I’ve come from -- as opposed to the '20s or '30s. Number one, I remember them,” Meloni said. “And I have certain remembrances, whether they are true or not. I have certain prejudices, whether they are valid or not, and certain fears from those times. And in some small ways, it informs what angle you come from.”
Meloni plays a man whose wife goes missing, and after initially trying to find her, he eventually gives up. Woodley’s character isn’t exactly missing her mother either. It all adds up to one interesting dynamic and film to say the least.
White Bird in a Blizzard is out in theaters and On Demand.
