by at .  Updated at . Comments

George Lucas is back creating movie magic with Strange Magic and Touchstone Pictures has released the film’s first trailer.

Strange Magic is inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (check out our favorite Superheroes dressed as Shakespeare muses!). Lucas’ tale is told with the use of some of the most popular songs from the last 50 years.

As it is based on A Midsummer Night's Dream, look for elves, imps, fairies and goblins to swing into action as two worlds collide that have previously been living in peace for years.

The team behind the Oscar-winning Rango, Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light and Magic, has brought Lucas’ animated vision to life with Strange Magic

Look for Strange Magic to open on January 23, 2015 with the voice talents of Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph and Evan Rachel Wood.
