The true story that inspired one of the most classic tales of all time, Moby Dick, is told in Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea.
Chris Hemsworth stars as the commander of the whaling ship Essex. In 1819, it was destroyed by the most enormous whale ever recorded. He and his crew would survive 90 days, continually being taunted by the massive beast. Years later, the story would become better known as Moby Dick, with some fictional license, of course.
Warner Bros. has released the latest In the Heart of the Sea trailer and it shows why it is so impressive -- Howard has brought his cinematographer from the outstanding Rush, Anthony Dod Mantle, to this project and it appears that we are in the boat with these men looking death in the face.
In the Heart of the Sea also stars Brendan Gleeson, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw (soon to be seen in Spectre) and Benjamin Walker.
Look for it in theaters March 13, 2015.
