With all the focus lately being on the bevy of blockbusters in the making coming our way in the closing weeks of 2014, not so much attention has been paid to what could be Johnny Depp’s next big flick.
Mortdecai stars Depp as an international art dealer who holds the key to saving the world.
Judging by that first Mortdecai trailer, it is exactly the type of whimsical comedy that Depp used to make all the time and we could not be more thrilled that he’s chosen the ensemble cast comedy for his next flick.
Lionsgate has released not one, but two, TV trailers that celebrate this offbeat funny fest.
Depp is joined by Ewan McGregor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul Bettany, Jeff Goldblum and Olivia Munn in the movie that lands January 23, 2015.
Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) must help the British government as one of the world’s most valuable paintings has fallen into the wrong hands. It is someone who could sell it and use the money to bring some serious damage to freedom loving people the world over.
It’s up to Mortdecai to travel the world, avoid international terrorists and some angry Russians, not to mention his overbearing wife (Paltrow) and secure the painting and save the world.
